Post subject:  "The Man Behind the Curtain"

The Wizard of Oz, as so many other memorable movies, books and other forms of media have brought us many repeatable and useful little tidbits of speech that a lot of us use in everyday conversation. They resonate the wisdom and comedy of the ages and today. We use them so often that we sometimes never really think of what they really mean... but many of them are much more influential and pertinent in our lives than we may imagine.

I have a couple under my signature that I sort of live by... now the second, related to my supposed humor overshadowing any seriousness in our posts is something that I made up to give me a waiver or 'hold harmless', if you will... cause I do get a bit over the top on occasion... (ya think?), anyway...

"Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain" is a much deeper thought provoking quote than you may imagine... in our daily lives related not only to personal but even more so in our profession... paying attention to the man behind the curtain is a quote that should be taken to heart.

Information is the key in just about any business venture that I can think of but in our particular professions... 'Bonding and Recovery'... it is paramount and paying attention to all aspects including the "man behind the curtain" could very well be the difference between your success or failure.

Just a little something for you to ponder on this beautiful Friday morning.... now for the 3rd cup of mud...... and one other thing... I will be on my Harley later today, tomorrow and maybe Sunday PM.... eat your heart out and if you get a chance... and you have nothing else to do... go ahead and get on that "rice burner", I won't say a word...

One of my biker buddies said one time... "Riding a Honda is like making love to a really fat woman... you don't mind doing it, you just don't want your buddies to find out." Image

I do have a old school triumph that will send you in space sometimes on the kick start.

Dave,
Nothing like a ride over the handlebars to start your day off right on an old Trumpet kicker!

Bill is the biker, I sold mine a couple of months ago.

Dave, I rode Honda's for probably 30 years before I owned a Harley... anything you ride is fine with me.... as for the Triumph... I had a 650 Bonneville back in the day... as well as a Norton, BSA and a Ducati back in the early 60's... sure wish I had that Triumph now... my brother still has a 500 Tiger.... and a newer Sportster, really nice.

My knee gave me some problems yesterday... didn't hurt to ride only to shift gears.... never stop riding... it is a youth pill.
