Have you guys seen these videos of the Bounty boys on youtube. I just wanted your opinion on them. In my own opinion I think they are very professional and I like the way they do thing. I think that they are trying to get a tv contract, I would much rather see these people on tv than Dog BH.

Personally, I like them also. They have a well developed website and they work in a (seemingly) professional manner. I have been watching them for a while now. I have actually noticed the growth that they have gone through over the last year or two.

I to find them very professional and unlike DOG. In my opinion, they are the best team I have ever seen. They always seem to catch the guy they are after. I always look foward to the videos that they release. They just released a new video of a gentleman that was from Germany working with them that didn't know what the heck he was doing and a fake. Read up about it, very interesting.

I don't know about other areas but in Georgia, so long as they are not blue or red, oscillating lights are not illegal. At one time, I had planned to use Amber and Green on my vehicles but found it to be overkill for my purposes. As far as the cars go, I know that many BEA/FRA use Crown Vic/Charger/other "LE" vehicles. I do not but I have never seen a problem with it.....except the "newbie" in my AO that has a huge badge and the words "Fugitive Squad" plastered on the sides and hood. He came into the MMA gym looking for training. The first words out of his mouth were "I am a bounty hunter and I want to see about some hand to hand or tactical take down training." Needless to say, he will be getting neither from me or the other trainers. Even they have seen professionalism....he had none. I digress.....back to the cars. There are reasons that these vehicles are used by LE. They are roomy with power and they are reliable. Picking one of the retired ones up from auction can save a ton of money and allow a person the upgrades that are added to these vehicles by city, county, and state agencies. Heck, if I had the money to get something besides the (second hand) Yugo I drive, I might have a fleet of them :D

Are they allowed to pull someone over in Georgia? Just curious. I know its not allowed here. I have to agree I would rather watch them than Doggie.

I agree, Crown Vics and the like are nice cars. However, why the hell anyone would want to drive one in this business, I have no clue? Element of surprise is one of our biggest assets. Why you would want to look anything like a LEO, I cant imagine. And lights? That is ridiculous. You cant pull someone over. If you give chase, your opening yourself up to tons of liability if you, or the guy your chasing, hurts somebody. Or if your skip wrecks, your liable. Lights are absolutely not needed.

I was kind of intersted in watching these videos. But if thats what these guys are doing? No thanks.

Sno, your an MMA trainer? What arts?

Andy,

I would have to agree with you on this... I watch most of the video's on these guys, just to see how professsional they really are. Somethings they do, do remind me of the Champmans....

My "day car" is a '08 CV P71. Its roomy, comfortable and quiet.

It helps me with parking tickets. I don't get them anymore. The few times I do go a little bit over the speed limit, I don't get stopped.

Finally, it keeps the unsavory elements guessing. So I don't have any problems driving through some of the worse areas in the state.

Plus, it seems like most people are more polite to me. I never had the "wanna be" syndrome, for a reason.

However, for skip tracing work its the wifes car or the F-250. Although, I sometimes get an unexpected call about a skip while in the CV.

Oh well, I just park around the corner.

You guys are gonna laugh. For the last several years, I have drivin F250 Diesels, Super Crew 4x4. Traded ever couple of years. I love those trucsk and may get another. Due to fuel costs, I went to a Toyota dealer about an hour from here to trade for a 4 door Tacoma. Found out they only get a few miles per gallon better, about 21 mpg. I came home with a 2010 Prius. LMAO My wife about died.

So thats my new chase car. But you know, the worst I have gotten so far has been 43mpg and the best was 54mpg. It has enough room for me and Dougs big asses, comfortably. Drives good. Quiet. And did I mention the gas mileage? And no, Im not a greenie. Global warming is the biggest scam ever pulled on the American people. The only green Im interested in is in my pocket.

Back to the trucks, I used to have a 5th wheel camper. We went to Nascar races all over. We camped in it alot. Brian France ruined Nascar so we quit going. My kids grew up and decided they would rather go to the river in remote places to camp in tents. So I sold the camper. And I like to hunt. I was always scared when hunting that I would scratch or tear up my 50k truck. So, I bought me a rusted out 89 Suburban. Its a blast to ram it anywhere I go.

Big time downsizing in my vehicle costs. The fuel savings compared to the truck is literally making my car payments. 8) Not to mention that nobody suspects you in a Prius LOL
