This article is recent, of course, but the story behind it is ancient history. The "Brock Bonding Company" of Eastern, Tn. and Northern Ga. have already been arrested, indicted, charged, and incarcerated for numerous felonies relating to corruption of county employees (courthouse personnel as well as jailers), bribery, extortion, and various other charges. Needless to say that bonding company has been dissolved. The laws regarding bail are strictly adhered to now in those areas, esp. Hamilton County, Tn.

The judges and Da's office call final on bonds immediately, and no bondspersons are allowed anywhere near the circuit clerk's office.

There have also been reports of bounty hunters/bondsmen forcing female clients into prostitution or being turned into personal sex slaves, the females were threatened with being returned to jail for failing to perform sexual acts. These incidents are currently under investigation.
