All info is correct and on the up and up. My husband and I just bought our home .. I am disabled and this girl used us to get out. I do not want a lien put on our home nor have to pay 5000. To bondsman because of her. Just desperately need advice or help in finding her. Thank you.

Another thought, if this case, as you mentioned, is being worked by the USMS... and I am assuming you are meaning... the US Marshall Service... they could be telling the bonding company to "back off" the case... I had that happen to me on several occasions... in that case, the bond was exonerated and I had no liability and neither did the indemnitor... 'you'. If that is in fact, the situation, you are off the hook, check further...

BTW... Bill Williams is very capable in that capacity and will give you the absolute true facts.

Since the original poster decided to continue describing her plight, I'll elaborate a little. First, there is an outstanding warrant on the person she told ne about. I asked her to call me last night, she PMed me and said she would call me today... Later last night ( by pm) I explained the Bondsman might not have recieved the forfeiture notice because the absconder failed less than 30 days ago. the poster declined to call me last night and said she would call this morning. Later I pmed her again suggesting what should be done and offering my help if the bondsman started asking for money. I later got a pm thanking me and said she was going to hire her own bounty hunter. I'm sure she doesn't know it but that is illegal in NC. Finally, the absconder has family all over the area she was bonded out of and this shouldn't to very difficult to solve... As far as the US Marshalls are concerned, they must be hurting for work if they've jumped on this case in less than 30 days from the failure to appear....You guys can come to your own conclusions....

Gotta clear this one up Original poster just called... While I don't think the US Marshalls are directly involved they have assisted by way of alerting some folks This one should be wrapped up rather quickly.

Is there any possibility that the US Marshals referred to are not the Feds but a BH group with a deceptive name? The bond company sounds like they are seeking payment, which is their right. If they are not seeking the defendant as a bond company, that is also their right. Sometimes the liability should a recovery go bad, far exceeds the cost of the bond by a factor of 100. For the original poster to hire a bounty hunter directly, I would think she has the opportunity to hire Bill Williams, as i am sure he is appointed by most insurance comapnies in NC, as is required to do this in NC. Absent her making the obvious choice, i have no more to offer.
